nice date, simple lunch - Anna's homemade butternut squash soup with cannellini, a slab of the great casareccio bread from Pain d'Avignon with finely sliced hot salami, cucumber salad and a good pecorino

what we made for lunch 12.21.10

Anna's minestrone soup (with carrot, celery, cannellini, bok choy etc) and the good taste of the hay wrapped pecorino from di Palo's along with a Gala apple from our display and country bread from Pain d'Avignon

soup's up! again. this time it's Anna's lentil and swiss chard which was chili hot. Along with a mixed green salad, the nice hay wrapped pecorino from di Palo's and a baguette

what we made for lunch 10.19.10

at first glance, a pretty average looking sandwich - but this was really good! red, yellow and white chard, dressed with olive oil and balsamic, pecorino con foglie di noce (wrapped in walnut leaves) and bresaola on a wholewheat bun

what we made for lunch 06.10.10

sautéed portabello and a delicious pecorino di fossa ("sweet start, then a vibrant peppery flavour"!) in walnut leaves along with a mixed green and watercress salad and ciabatta

what we made for lunch 04.08.10

a delicious pecorino di noci (that comes wrapped in walnut leaves) with an arugula, radicchio and beetroot salad - both yellow and red that we cooked last night

What we made for lunch. 01.08.10

yellow and green! butternut squash soup with thin slices of jalepeno pepper and a sprinkle of New Mexico chili powder besides a green salad with saffron pecorino from di Palo's and pear

what we made for lunch 06.17.09

yesterday's sounded so good, I made the same - this time as a ciabatta sandwich - avocado, prosciutto cotto, pecorino sardo

what we made for lunch 06.16.09

I missed this one, unfortunately - after a long absence from di Palo's we're back with prosciutto cotto and pecorino Sardo (from Sardinia) which along with a mixed green salad, avocado and red onion, was delicious - I'm sure!

What we made for lunch. 02.15.09

making do with what we have - saffron and black pepper pecorino with mahogany rice from yesterday, arugula with tomato soup and ciabatta

What we made for lunch. 01.20.09

second round for the squash soup with sour cream; prosciutto di San Daniele with tuscan pecorino, pear, walnuts, chicory salad and toasted french country bread

What we made for lunch. 01.12.09

it was going to be a sandwich, but took a different turn - so we have prosciutto cotto, along with that really good pecorino with saffron and peppercorn (from di Palo's), a mixed green salad with walnuts and a new organic multigrain baguette from Wholefoods. It's freezing cold, so tomato soup (with chili powder and olive oil) goes down well
